Graduate Certificates | Department of Computer Science

Certificate Programs provide a structured path for acquiring professional skills and enhancing knowledge toward an M.S. degree at NJIT, or elsewhere.

Each Certificate Program consists of 4 courses. Certificate courses may fulfill requirements toward M.S. programs that include these courses in their curriculum. In particular, students who maintain a CGPA above 3.0 are eligible to transition into the corresponding M.S. program and complete it with 6 additional courses. The Department of Computer Science offers the following certificate-to-M.S. pathways:

Certificate in Computer Science → M.S. in Computer Science
Certificate in Foundations of Cybersecurity → M.S. in Cybersecurity and Privacy
Certificate in Software Engineering, Analysis and Design → M.S. in Software Engineering

All Certificate programs are offered in Newark. The Certificate programs in Computer Science and Foundations of Cybersecurity are also offered Online, and in Jersey City.
